How can we make better use of St Cuthbert’s Church?
St Cuthbert’s is nearing its 200th Birthday and, like any building that age, it needs some tender loving care. This will involve a number of significant projects to repair and maintain roofs, floors, heating, kitchen and toilets. As the Anglican Parish Church for Pateley Bridge, St Cuthbert’s Church welcomes everyone, to worship on Sundays and Wednesdays, as a place for quiet reflection and for baptisms, weddings and funerals. It is your church which has been and will continue to be at the heart of the community of Upper Nidderdale; hosting concerts, coffee mornings and other community events. It is a public building and, with all the work that is needed, we are keen to take this opportunity to gain your views and input into what it could become. Your views are vitally important!
We know that all this work must be done in the near future but we also know that, at 200 years old, the building’s original design and any subsequent changes do not necessarily reflect the needs of our community as we venture further into the 21st Century.
What are your thoughts on how you would like to see St Cuthbert’s Church used within our community in the future?
Please share your thoughts as soon as possible.
