There’s a lot going on! Shops with late night opening, lantern parade, Makers Yard, Christmas Tree Festival, St Nicholas Fair, King Street Art Workshops, Memorial Hall, Auction Mart, Summerbridge and Dacre Silver Band.

Friday
5:30 – 6pm Lantern Parade, starting from the Auction Mart, up the High Street via King Street Art Workshops and into St Cuthbert’s. The lanterns will be on display here for the rest of the weekend.
6pm – 8pm In St Cuthbert’s, switching on of the tree lights on all the Christmas trees in church. Bar and light refreshments.
Saturday
10am – 4pm Christmas Tree festival with trees decorated by many local community groups. Cafe all day. Vote for your favourite tree!
Stalls, children’s activities, raffle, refreshments, crafts, tombola, cakes, jewellery.
10am – 1:30pm St Nicholas Fair running alongside the Christmas Tree festival. Stalls, children’s activities, raffle, refreshments, crafts, tombola, cakes, jewellery.
12 noon Summerbridge and Dacre Silver Band. Soup lunch.
Sunday
10am – 4pm Christmas Tree festival
10:30am All age worship with blessing of the Christmas trees. All welcome!
2:45pm Christmas tree voting closes.
3pm – 4pm Prize giving for favourite tree, the Photographic Competition and draw the Grand Raffle.
